Week 35! Only 5 little weeks left! Last night Lance and I had a date night, which consisted of us starting to pack our hospital bags- haha! Goodness, this is getting real now! We had our last class at the hospital on Tuesday night... we both agree that we're done talking about everything that's going to happen and we just want to get on with it! (Not until this baby's ready to come out though, of course)! We're so ready for all of this crazy wonderfulness to begin!
My weekly emails tell me that Itty Bitty doesn't have much room to maneuver now that she or he is over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5.25 pounds (about the size of a honeydew melon). I still feel plenty of bumps throughout the day and it would be strange for me to go a whole day without this little one's bum jutting into my ribs.... it feels weird, but I think it's adorable. The kidneys are fully developed now and the liver can process some waste products. Most of the basic physical development is now complete and the next few weeks will be spent putting on weight!
There is still so much prep and finishing touches being done! I am so humbled by how much our sweet baby is loved already by our family and friends. I don't know where we'd be without such an amazing support system. We are so blessed!
