2014 Favorite Wedding Portraits

Can you believe we are standing here at the end of another year?? It's amazing how quickly a year can pass– so as we look on to a bright and squeaky clean [2015] year, I want to highlight some of my favorite wedding portraits from 2014. I am always so deeply honored when soon-to-be-brides & grooms invite us into their very special, once in a lifetime day. It's an experience that Lance and I don't take lightly; every wedding is unique, and even though we photograph many weddings throughout the spring, summer, & fall, each one is it's own day, with it's own love, it's own creativity tied in. I don't get sick of weddings because every single one of them is different! The possibilities are endless! And that means that no wedding is "just another wedding" to us. Each one is beautiful and new.

Sometimes at wedding consultations I am asked what my favorite thing to photograph is... my answer is always portraits and details! We'll get into the details in another blog post; this post is all about the portraits! Have you ever been swept up in your grandparents' wedding photo?...  wondered what it was like to be there with them in that time and place?... thought about how different of a world it was back then? Have you ever considered that your wedding photos will captivate the future generations? Photographs are such a magical thing. They're a form of storytelling (especially with how many we take these days!). Portraits of a bride & groom on their wedding day tell the story of their love, their joy, their anticipation for a new life together. It's the story of them.

Enjoy my favorite portraits from this years' weddings!
